Durham Heritage Centre and Archaeology Museum is delightfully varied with lots to see. I especially liked the 'Item of the Month' which showcased an item from the archive that would probably not otherwise be seen as less than 1% of their collection gets researched or seen each year.

It was interesting to travel through time with suitable trigger warnings for those not wishing to look at human remains. Access into the Heritage Centre was using a small open lift, which the guards were kind enough to help us with.

Around the centre there were ramps and it was relatively easy to navigate, although if the doors were automatic it would make it easier. The disabled bathroom was easy to access, although there was not a lot of turning space if you have a larger chair.
